A British therapeutic-grade angustifolia historically propagated by a small handful of specialist nurseries. Highly ester-dominant, low camphor — the classical 'fine lavender' profile.
Genetic Registry · BLGA Technical Authority
The future of British lavender starts here. A working registry of the cultivars on which the British industry depends — with published technical signatures, sourcing protocols, and provenance audited by the Association.
Notice. With the closure of traditional specialist nurseries, the BLGA now manages the primary technical data and sourcing protocols for these elite cultivars. Members access virus-free propagation material and pre-cleared wholesale routes through the secretariat.

Each profile carries the BLGA Technical Spec — oil yield potential, fragrance signature, and best end-use — drawn from member farm harvest data and independent GC-MS panels.

The benchmark fine cultivar for UK conditions. Tight flower spike, late summer cut window, oil signature consistently within the British Standard envelope.
The dominant commercial intermedia hybrid. Vigorous, drought-tolerant, prolific yield. Higher camphor — destined for soaps, cleaners, and industrial fragrance, not therapeutics.

Sourcing Protocol
For each registry entry, the Association maintains a chain of custody from mother stock through certified propagator to the member field. Members may requisition propagation material only against the published protocol — no informal exchange of uncleared stock between farms.

Cuttings raised by an Association-cleared nursery, with batch ID and traceable parentage.
Member farm's destination field passes the BLGA biosecurity baseline before stock release.
