The Association — Not for Profit
The British Lavender Growers Association is the industry's not-for-profit body. We exist to safeguard the British crop, set the standard for oil purity, and represent member growers to the wider trade and to government.
Our remit
Authoring and maintaining the British Standard for cultivation, distillation, and oil purity.
Protecting the British crop through coordinated protocols and rapid notifiable disease response.
Acting as the unified voice of member growers with regulators, retailers, and the press.
A member farm in peak bloom
“British lavender is more than a crop; it is a heritage. By uniting our growers and standardizing our technical excellence, we are reclaiming the prestige of the British still and securing a resilient future for the UK’s most iconic aromatic.”

Membership
Every member — from a one-acre smallholding to a royal-warrant farm — is held to the same biosecurity baseline. The tier reflects scale and engagement, not the rigour of the standard.

Up to 2 ha under cultivation. The entry tier for new and artisan growers.
Most subscribed

Biosecurity Standards
Imported pathogens are the single greatest threat to a viable British lavender industry. Our biosecurity baseline is mandatory for every tier of membership.
